Car Key Remote

I've got 3 out of 4 key remotes acting up. I've replaced the batteries in all the units.

I noticed that the underside of the rubber mat what closes the circuit is worn in areas along with some loose solder connections between the board and the plastic housing.

I'd prefer to replace them but my quick google searches are showing 49$ apiece! I'd try to jury rig / repair them myself before I laid out that kind of cash.

Any advice or ideas from the ATOT collective?

Okay I just found this:

Before I spend $20 on parts, does anyone have any ideas how to restore the conductive material on the back side of the worn rubber pad?

There is some good information here. Looks like I need to find a conductivity pen, or possibly some thin metal tape (I think this might be too thick).
