Car issues

1. Car starts shaking/vibrating around 60-70mph. Lug nuts are tight. I'm thinking it's the tires, but I really have no clue. I can't tell if it's coming from the front or back.

2. Rumbling/droning noise from the front when braking. The sound can be heard when the brake pedal is acutated even the slightest amount. AFAIK, the discs are original equipment; not sure about the pads. It does NOT sound like the screeching noise pads make when they're running low on available wear.

How long can I wait to get it fixed before the tires blow off or I lose (power) braking?

Don't take chances with brakes. Nothing worse than an accident caused because you can't stop. People sometimes forget there can be casualties other than themselves.

It almost sounds like the pad material has separated from the backing plate. It's wedged in causing both the sound and the vibration. Can you look though the wheels and see the brakes? I'll bet it's just one pad. May not be an outboard that you'd be able to see though.

It's hard to diagnose from here.
