This is true with almost all auto insurance companies, I should know it happened to me. Although I'm male, 27, married and have a clean driving record American Family Insurance (amfam.com) charged me $140/month for FULL COVERAGE, after 6 months of continuous insurance coverage with them they dropped it to $70/month.

Regardless of which insurance company you go with, chances are you're going to pay HIGH premiums for the first 6-12 months.
