Car insurance

My numbers for 6 month premiums (I went from 2 cars to 1):

2 cars: 200+200
1 car: 300

So you do the math... there was my multi-car discount. Liability-only in NY with Geico.

:Q

That's really cheap..I pay ~$1400-1500/yr for one car..no accidents. 🙁

I pay month to month, so I can't give you a 6 month...

I started out paying $88 a month for my 2003 Buick Regal with full coverage.
I added my 1986 Ford 150 and it raised my monthly premium to $103...liability only for the second vehicle.

Well I am 27 now and it's liability only on a '95 vehicle.

EDIT>> Oh yes... I told them I drive less than 3000 miles per year so I don't know how much that knocked off. I work from home, so it's true.

$103 * 6 = $618. 😛

Do you mean add as a second car to your first with you as the only driver...or as a car for your wife or SO?

I added a second car (truck and car) with full coverage on both and my policy went up about 35%. I will probably shop around shortly after I move to see if I can bring that down some.

There are waaay too many variables for you to draw any conclusions from the numbers posted here. Age, driving record, marital status, sex, amount of coverage you want, collision insurance, deductible, type of car and where you live are all variables.

Your best bet is to simply call around and get some quotes.
