Gotta say it, but BLAME CANADA...more specifically, BLAME ONTARIO. You can drive a freakin' Maybach in British Columbia for 1000 bucks a year!

looks like you need a new car insurance company or a buyer for your vehicle

good luck!

How many accidents and tickets?

$2400 a year on a 2003 Civic EX Coupe

WTF? You crash into a marketplace full of children while intoxicated and not wearing your eyeglasses even though you have restriction?

it is a not so subtle hint that they no longer want you as a customer

no one would pay that, they want you to drop them, so they don't have to drop you

$1400 a year for my 98 Mazda Millenia.
Now thats with my dad listed as the primary driver.
With me as the primary it goes up to $3600/year

$ 1800/yr for 1998 Mazda Protege.

The car's paid off now, and am thinking of removing collision. That would save @ $ 600/yr. Else wait for 1 more year. If rates are still high, I'll dump the insurance company. Btw: no tickets/ at-faults accidents ...

Just Paid 1100 to geico when I got my 04 civic. Damn its due again and they haven't discounted it. Kept the same. Crap !!
Isn't it suppose to go down. I have no tickets & accidents till now.

State Farm is very kind to me, only 960/yr for '04 Honda Accord Coupe V6 manual, that includes comprehensive

quotes I've gotten from anywhere else are 1100 and up. Been with State Farm for over 10 years.

Of course, part of it could be that my agent is a long time friend of my family. 🙂

Are you a male under 25? My parents insurance agent flat out told my mother that they discriminate against them. My parents needed to add me as a driver to their policy because of an accident, and he blatantly told my mother that, and it goes with everything I have been told from drivers ed, and other people.

It isn't discrimination when the the drivers below 25 actually cause the more of and generally the most severe accidents. In particular males under 25 have the highest probability of killing other people, and killing or maiming people is what costs the insurance companies the most money. When you have a segment of the population that is far and above the cause of the highest dollar claims to the insurance company than the company should rightly charge the group of people the rates required to cover those accidents.
