Car insurance problem

Ok problem,

I got pulled over yesterday and the cop asked for my insurance. I couldn't find it, he wrote me a tickets saying that i could just come to the courthouse, show my insurance and everything would be dropped. I JUST found out today that I DON"T have insurance. My parents take care of all the insurance stuff for our family and somehow they forgot to pay my insurance, etc. As a result, I have none - but I'm planning on getting some. Will I still recieve the ticket? Or will it be ok if I just get insurance and show up later with proof of insurance?

One other thing: do parking tickets (meter parking) affect insurance rates?

Thanks

Well, sounds like your parents should pay the bill - but you shoud start paying for your own insurance.

I'm sure if you get insurance by the time you go to court and show that you have insurance your ticket will be dismissed.

Hopefully.

Maybe it's a good thing you were pulled over -- if you weren't..and then got in an accident, you'd be screwed.
