Car inspection 4 days later

Dealer tells me i have to drive the car for a couple of days before they can inspect it. i have no inspection sticker but i have everything else in case i get stopped by the car. is this something new?! i always thought when buying a car it gets inspected automatically from the dealer.

Clever. If anything turns up in the inspection they can say that you caused the problem while driving it.

That makes no sense. Every time I've bought a car from a dealer they had it inspected.

Don't know about Florida but in the state of NC it is against the law for a dealer to sell a car without a valid state inspection sticker. Might want to visit your local laws on the web for an answer to that one.

We don't have inspections in FL.

Don't know if its this particular dealer or not but they did the same thing to my friend. He bought his car a year ago from the same place and said he had to drive 20 miles before they could inspect it. Paperwork is in order and if I were to get stopped by a cop I just show them that I just bought it.
