car has an issue, but dealer can find anything wrong...

the windows on my parents car have this greasy film on them (nobody smokes) and when the A/C is turned on, the windows fog up and there is a sweet smell (coolant).

now, all of the above are symptoms of a heater core problem, so im pretty sure thats the issue. but the dealer says they cant find a problem (the car is still under warranty) and they are pretty much just going to give the car back without fixing anything.

so im wondering, isnt it their responsibility to fix the friggin problem? they sold my parents the car, it obviously has an issue, its still under warranty. fix it or give them a new car. black and white.

if they dont do anything, what are my options?

Take it to another dealer. You are stubborn and they likely are too.

i guess you could take it to a mechanic have them examine it. if they find something wrong send the bill to the dealership. read your warrenty.

Read the warranty. I'm pretty sure you can take it to another mechanic to have it fixed.
