She loves her 1991 Pontiac Grand Prix. She doesn't want something much bigger, or else she won't be able to drive it (for some reason), and she doesn't want something too small, because we need interior space (4 of us counting her, one in a car seat). What car would you reccomend?

Look at the Pontiac G6. A little smaller but very nice.

Or if it is too small then the Impala.

Thanks, I'll look into that. What about the new grand prix? is that any good?

How about a Mazda6? Look around and maybe you'll find one for 16k OTD too.

Honda Accord, Volkvagen Jetta are great cars. The new Jetta is much superior to the old ones. Definately keep an eye on it. The Accord is more refined than the Mazdas and others in its category, so maybe its beneficial for the day to day driving.

I think the new GP is ok but the impala looks better and has the newwer motor. The new Impala is really nice and I liked the old one ok but the new Impala is much better. Same with the G6. It replaced the grandam and my grandmother has a grandam that is nice, but not the same level as the G6 is now.

she MIGHT like the practicality of the Malibu MAXX.

its a HUGE car. and the SS has some power, but the interior is MUCH better than teh non SS.

thanks alot for the suggestions, but i've been looking at them and they just seem too small. The 1991 Grand Prix is like 196" long, and about 75" wide.

A VW is grand if you want to keep having to get nagging repairs fixed.

Also forgot. The Impala now comes with the new 3.5L Variable Valve motor standard. The GP still has the 3.8L buick motor. GREAT motor, but getting old with todays standards

haha.. the M35 would be a perfect replacement for most cars... but you do pay for it.

The new civic actually might be a car to check out - it's bigger than the old one and not too expensive. The Jetta is also a really nice car to have - very comfortable space and a great ride. I had one for 3 years, and loved it - and the new one looks like quite an upgrade.

2004 Camry FTW!

Got it out the door for $20k with ABS.

EDIT: In 2003.

Doubt you'll get the 2006 Camry for $20k.
