I'm the process of rebuilding the Olds 350. What I had in there now is a CompCams 268H cam and would like to get something a little newer. I was thinking about getting thier newer XtremeEnergy series 262H.
Can you guys help me decode the specs and determine which cam would perform best.

Specs :
dur @.50 lift LSA
in ex in ex in ex
268H 268 268 218 218 .456 .456 110
XE262 262 274 218 224 .475 .480 110

I have headers w/ true dual exhaust, 3.42 rear, stock converter, shift kit, edelbrock carb and intake.

Thanks for the help,

I am not a cam expert but since nobody else has posted anything :)

XE262 has more exhaust duration and lift than intake which should help it make more torque than the 268h and it only has a hair less overall intake duration but more at .50 and more lift so I think it would probably make atleast as much hp maybe more. Id go witht the 262.

Just noticed I misread it and they both have the same duration at .5. I'd still go with the xe262 since its should make more torque and thats more important in a daily driver.

That 268H looks like it's a good all around CAM, how much do you drive this car?
