Car GPS Solutions? Got an old laptop.

I checked out another thread on this and the guy wanted a standalone unit.. in my case i have an old laptop (Chembook.. something like 300Mhz) heh.. it still runs.. and i wanted to put it to use. So i figured it could be a good cheap GPS solution. So are there any other options besides the MS Streets GPS deal for like 100 bucks?
