Car: European > Japanese > American

What is your criteria FrustratedUser? Price, performance, reliability, exclusivity, etc.? 😕

I would put them into categories:

Luxury: Euro>Japanese>american
normal: Japanese>Euro~=American
sports: Euro>American~=Japanese

Euro cars have styling and that is about it. I think it is reasonable to say Japanese cars are better than American cars but I think many Euro cars are overrated.

Overall styling basically. European designs are (in general) more 'refined' and elegant. Japanese often go overboard with the latest trends and sadly enough still 'copies' or should I say are 'inspired by' European design.
The American is way off but picking up. (Read Cadillac)

Of course this is just my opinion. 😀

Forgot Chrysler. I still see them as American but I know they are actually more European nowadays.

Cadillac>Japanese
Chrysler> Japanese

Old BMW> New BMW

Reliability=Japanese

Honda = Boring with the exception of the S2000
Toyota = No performance!

Mazda = Ford

Mercedes Benz = Auto tranny!

American = GTO, Mustang, Vette, XLR

From this I derive!
American>European>Japanese🙂

assuming you have the dough to fix your unreliable, expensive-to-fix european car, then yeah, i agree with the OP's order. but if you can afford an expensive car, chances are you can fix it, too.

Not retarded, only based on oure personal preference and 'feel'.
Looking at pure economics and reliability the Japanese wins. I'n just not a huge fan, that's all.

Some minor corollaries 😀
GTO = Holden Monarco = Australian
Since Acura = Honda, the NSX is pretty nice too
Shame on Toyota for dropping Supra!!! :thumbsdown:

But it's a 7-speed!

Anyways, I think European > Japanese >> American

My family has owned 3 European (Volvo 740GLE, Mercedes Benz S320 LWB, BMW 330Cic), 2 Japanese (Nissan Maxima, Toyota Camry), and 1 American (Oldsmobile *forgot the model name*)
