What kind of car? Did you RTFM to see if it can be other causes? Mine goes on if I don't screw the gas cap on tightly.

OBD II could be anything from your gas cap isn't on tight enough, or a sensor is busted (free and cheap, respectively) to OMGYOURENGINEWILLEXPLODE (expensive)

mine went off a couple days ago. cost $400 to fix 🙁

turned out that the exhaust pipe had rusted nearly completely away (1997 ford escort).

Could range from a leaky gas cap (did you check to make sure it's screwed on tightly?) costing $10 to a far more costly problem.

Just remove the bulb, much cheaper and it'll never bother you again 🙂

Could be anything from that description....
