Car electrical problem--[SOLVED]

Ok I know im stupid but heres what i did and before i go on, i want to find out what i can do to fix the problem.

My cars front left speaker was not working properly, so i unscrewed my car cd player to see if any connectors were loose in the back. My problem found, i found loose wires, so i connected the wires together with electrical tape.

I didn't check the other wires and i assumed that they were all ok. so i loosly put the cd player back into the tray and turn on the car to check if the speaker was working. It did work, so i turned my car off and took the cd player out again to straighten up the wires (they were all jumbo up in there).

Then i notice two connecting wires without the electrical tape. As I was proceeding to put tape on the wiring, i see a SPARK (the two connecting wires touched metal part in the back of the cd player). I realized just then i had forgot to disconnect the battery. Just after the spark, my car's interior door light wont turn on anymore and my cdplayer wont power on anymore when i start my car.

What can i do now to fix the problem or is my cdplayer dead?

Thank you for your time.

ya blew a fuse. thats all
On some cares the radio and interior lights are on the same fuse. And sometimes the lighter too. Does it work?

so what do i do?
there is a fuse on the back of the cd player...

push the fuse back in? or do i have to buy a new fuse?

The car fuse. Find the car's fusebox and check which ones are bad. The radio one might be burned up too.. You've never changed a fuse before?

Thanks for responding so quickly.

no, i never changed a fuse before...
so i goto a auto store they should have fuses?

and after i get the new one i just pop the old one out and new one in?

coincidence? today i diagnosed my stereo system (left front speaker wont work... amps wont turn on)... found a short in the power line from the battery that preventing amp from turning on, but upon hooking back the negative connector on the battery my dome light died.

among other car problems... (next thread)

Yes.
Take the old car fuse and radio fuse with you. Fuses come in different amp ratings.

haha... you shorted the connection. change the fuse in the fuse box. if you don't have a fuse for it (although i bet you do), then change your lights.
