I have been running this exact unit for 2 years or so. Purchased off of Amazon for around $60, SainSpeed F198.
Good: Always recording when vehicle is running, I have not had to touch it in 2 years.
Decent picture
Stays mounted without any issue
Small and fairly discrete
Does the job

Bad: it records to individual files, when it moves to the next file it drops around 5 seconds of video. I believe mine is set to have each file record around 30 minutes, so every 30 minutes you lose 5 seconds.
Night vision even with the "6 amazing LEDs" is pretty bad, but show me a camera even near this price point where it is good.
video quality is ok, this is not a 4K camera and you are not Spielberg...Do not expect this to record license plates from more than 5 feet away, you might, but don't count on it.

All in all, for the price, its a great little unit, as long as you know the limitations. Thanks Funboy!

Nice find. I almost pulled the trigger on ordering one last night. Coincidentally, I signed up for Amazon Prime last night as well. Now, I'm even closer to pulling the trigger, since it's so cheap. :)

How's this compare to other sub-$50 cameras? edit: whoa, Amazon shows quite a few 1080 cameras, even forward and backward dual cameras for under 50; another 1080 model for only $17.00. The OPs is a great deal, but apparently there are a lot of great deals now in this market area. Thanks funboy!

Mine was back ordered from t-mart so I submitted a cancellation, I hope they can cancel it because I would like to get the 1080p version from prime.
