Wow.

I find it a little odd that there was just sheetrock between the parking garage and the elevator shaft. Not even any studs? Weird.

Either that or she took them out!

they're those thin sheet metal studs

The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.

What wasn't clear about it? Driver had moment of confusion. Same reason as most of the "sudden acceleration" reports. :p

Hmm that's up to code? I thought it was 2x6s every 20 in or something like that

Commercial construction rarely uses wood studs. something about the fire code I believe. And it's usually 16 or 24 inches.

She was "trapped"? WTF is up with people being so damned helpless. Looking at those pictures, unless seriously injured and immobilized, I'd find my way out of that in about 15 seconds. Guess it's the same shit as when people panic under water and can't even remove their seatbelt. So much for survival instincts and will to live, the human race is doomed.

Or climb over two rows of seats and out the back and through the hole you just made in the wall :awe::hmm:

Or you can just whimper and be trapped and act like you're going to die after a massive and terrifying 6 foot plunge in a comfy SUV.

in all non-Bear Grylls seriousness, it was an old lady that looks like mixed up the pedals. You really think her survival instinct is strong?

So probably just forgot where she was and took a nap. Then started screaming at the rescue workers to get out of her bedroom when they woke her up? :sneaky:

Dude she was 60 years old.......we have no idea how strong or healthy she was, maybe she was 350 lbs for all we know. Tough to move that size of frame around in car.

I am not excusing her, sounds like she should not have a license anymore, but really she was probably so shaken up she was paralyzed with fear.
