Car covers.

I'm looking for car covers now because I may not have a garage after this june. I'm Condo hunting in $$$ SD, and a lot of Condos don't come with personal garages.

Of course, I've already laid down a decent offer on a place with a garage, but just in case...


Obviously, it won't cover the bottom that well.
Price shouldn't be of concern (although, if it costs more than $900, then umm...ya.. no).

I have one major concern about car covers. Let's say you have some dust on the car. Won't it aggravate the situation since the cover will just rub against the dust, therefore scratching the clear coat?


So ya, which brand is the best and easiest to use? Which brands to avoid?

What are you looking for in a car cover??? You go to Pepboys and buy one for like $30 but then you can spend hundreds and hundreds of dollors on awesome quality ones. I know they have different quality ones at the autoparts stores but never tried one.

My friend got a California Car Cover custom made and it's awesome. Great quality but he spent a lot on it.

Just as long as it does its job. I don't want something that's too crappy where the car cover will do more harm than good (like rub existing dirt against the clear coat).

I think I got mine at www.carcoversdirect.com

It's the same brand that California Car Cover Co. uses. As for the rubbing dust against the clear coat, it's going to happen as long as it's breezy (dust is sneaky). The cover will be tight but it still moves a little.
