looking for a 2003 M3, tried autotrader and cars.com but haven't found the perfect car i want. any other suggestions as to other online classifieds listings?

A 2003 M3 isn't exactly the kind of car most people try to sell themselves, most would be traded in at a dealer. Your area will also factor into that a lot, depending on how many were sold locally...

no, there are plenty of listings for M3s, something like 16 pages on autotrader for example. but i'm looking for specific...

blue ext/grey int, 6 speed manual, premium package with leather, navigation, harmon kardon stereo, xenons, park distance control and <20,000 miles for around 40-45K. and there just aren't any specific ones like that so i'm trying to expand my search options.

I don't understand why people who search out used cars are so picky. If you want those exact things, buy new.

If you haven't seen one with all the exact options you want, just be patient and keep looking..it's a big enough of a purchase to wait for exactly what you want.

HOWEVER, if you've seen the exact car you want but they were asking more than you were willing to pay, you may have to raise you spending limit. NADA.com says the average retail on the car you described is $48,050.

EDIT: In the interest of being more helpful, here's a link to a traderonline search..

9 Blue 2003 M3s under $45k

If they don't have EXACTLY what you're looking for, you could try getting the missing pieces installed at the dealer. That is, upgraded stereo/Nav/Xenons may be dealer installed options...you could have them added after the fact. You'll pay through the nose, of course, but if you have to have it, you have to have it.

Also, try checking local big city papers. Most have their classifieds available online. When I was looking for my car I checked the ads for 4 different cities (all within a 2 hour drive) on a daily basis.

i've seen a few cars with the right options, just wrong color combos for the right price. i figure if i plop down 40g's on a car i'd rather have a color i like. it seems that NADA is a bit off in terms of private sales for M3s, i've been researching and KBB is actually much closer to what the cars go for. but thanks for the advice.

as per the options, since the cars are built in germany installing them separately is pretty expensive...but i guess i'd keep it in mind.
