Car Broken Into Lastnight

As the title says, my car got broken into lastnight. They took everything out of my glove compartment, center console, and ashtray (my quarters for parking meters). They took all my stuff including cell phone accessories, road emergency tools, sunglasses, etc. Most importantly, they took my owners manual that had my vehicle registration and insurance information in it.

Is there any thing they can do with all that information? I'm a little worried they have my address as well as my parent's address, but can they also steal my identity? I've alerted my local police department and insurance agency....anything else I should do?

Yea, it really annoys me when people like that are willing to cause so much property damage for a simple dollar.
 
they better not have taken the beloved cup holders....man i tell you i'd be pissed if they did that.

did they take the license plates?

my friends car was totally stripped a while back (honda civic, somewhat stock except for wheels), and they even took the friggen back seat!!!!!

hopefully you'll be able to catch these thieves. search ebay for a owners manaul, maybe they are stupid enough to try and sell it.
 
Dude, I feel your pain. My car was broken into last week, not once, but twice. The second time they just busted out another window but didnt take anything. Mainly becasue they stole all of my stuff the first time. 😛
 
just be glad they didn't take the car...still SUCKS though.

My trunk got broken into a couple years ago, they took all my tools, my jack, and my jackstands...plus, the trunk lock was busted from then on.

The same thing happened to one of the guys at work. I'm amazed by how dumb some people are to break into the same car the same week. What more can you get after cleaning it out the first time? Well, perhaps they wanted to break the second window just for the sake of breaking it.

I thought about that too. Sometimes you'd be surprised how stupid some people can get.
