Car Broken Into During Weekend

My convertible got broken into while I was up in Tahoe this weekend. :|

The funny thing is, they didn't take anything. 😕

They removed the screws from the steering column casing, to get at the cables to hotwire the car. But they did not do anything. Did not even remove the steering column casing enough to get at the wires.

My theory is that while starting to remove the steering column casing, they noticed the odometer:

208,000 MILES

They didn't even steal my change bag full of quarters (like $6-$8). 😕

Damn, could have used the insurance money!

Cheers!

prob. a bunch of drunk fscks trying to joyride in your car but too stupid to actually do it. I had my car broken into for real and they stole my entire stereo, valued at $1400. Broke my passenenger side window and a bunch of other stuff trying to get at the equipment. They also scratched the paint up and bent the window frame trying to get in. I got a crapload of cash from my insurance company though, they paid me $5000 to fix it all.

Cost me $800 to fix the body damages to the car, and I have $4200 to keep 🙂
