I was gone for 10 days and stupidly left a light inside the car on.
Naturally, the battery was dead when I got back.
I jumpstarted it and drove around for 15-20 minutes (stop-and-go driving).
This morning I try starting my car and it was dead again.
I jumpstarted it again .... I currently left the car running while being at work.

What should I do?
I do not think the battery is broken ... just totally depleted.

How can I recharge it?

You need to run the car for more then 20 minutes to recharge the battery. The alternator is there to keep the charge up not charge it from being dead. So go for a nice LONG drive. As well pop the caps on the battery and make sure the cell have liquid in them.

Buy a battery charger or go to a shop and they can do it for you.

I'm betting it IS dead. When you completely drain a car battery (that isn't an Optima) it's likely it will no longer hold a charge.

Non-deep cycle batteries die from being depleted - the plates warp and they can't hold charge any longer.

This may/may not have happened to your battery. If it's happened (and it fails to re-charge or hold charge), then its normal. Go and buy another!

I left the headlight of my car on 5 times last year after parking it. My battery is still working.

However, OP can go to AUTOZONE... They test and charge batteries for free.....
