Car Battery Charger/Starter Question

Do these things work?

I hate going out to a dead car. Keeping this thing in the trunk may just do the trick. A good set of jumper cable requires a friendly stranger to help out. (sometimes hard to find)

Car = 97 Dodge Neon (nothing major to turn her over)

It should, but note that it is for one-time use. And it takes 5 minutes to charge your battery. My previous roomate has a unit with rechargeable battery. It has LEDs telling you the charge level, so you know if it needs recharging.
