i have a 1989 Ford F-150 and not even the ex-cab so i have no space at all. I did find a box that will hold 2 12" subs though that will fit perfectly behind my seat! I am also on a very tight budget. The box is $50 after shipping from www.speakerhole.com can anyone recommened cheap 12" subs? they can only have a max depth of 5.5in. I was looking at Rockford Fosgate for an amp. there 2001 models are much better than last years i heard. I was looking at Audiobahn subs and they are pretty cheap and had good reviews. anyone have these? The AWC12X(500w RMS, 25-800hz, 92.9db, 5 1/16 depth, 2 or 8 ohm) looks to be pretty good. I can get them for $62 each. The rockford 800.2 can push 400w RMS at 2ohm per channel which i think will be more than enough!

Can anyone recommend anything better? Does anyone have any of this and tell me how it performs?

Thanks

I've heard that with Audiobahn you're getting what you pay for. Especially with the amps. A friend of mine has the 800A4 and it got hot as hell after running for a few minutes. I don't know how hot the 800.2 gets, but I wouldn't be comfortable putting one in a tight spot.

i heard the newer models didn't run nearly as hot. I heard guys say they ran them for hours at max. I have heard nothing but good about audiobahn too. my freind has some 6x9's from them and he loves them. If the amp gets too hot i can always get a fan for it.

Check out Elite Car Audio. They have forums there with some smart car audio people. Some of the members have had problems with Audiobahn amps. There are some people with experience with the subs as well.
