definitely replace the head unit first. your stock HU won't be able to provide enough power to aftermarket speakers for them to sound good anyway.

Good systems cost money, spend little and you'll get exatly that.

Try to amp the 4 speakers frist if the current head unit will support it. If not, get a new head unit.

That mistaken approach spits in the face of all that is audio.
