Car audio...Subwoofer enclosures?

Where can i get a good Dual 10 sub box? Its for my kappa perfect 10.1's. I really dont want to make the box myself so im looking for a decently priced prefab. I was thinking of the SUBZONE boxes, i hear they area good? any ideas?

make your own or go to local car audio shops. they should carry a wide range of sizes. if you're desperate, i think even circuit city carries enclosures...

Q-Logic are pretty popular, you can get sealed, ported or bandpass boxes... Hit up your local Best Buy to check them out, I'm sure they have dual 10" boxes at a reasonable price...

Infinities recommendation of 0.6cf per sub is good.

$85 high quality Q-Logic box
$43 lesser quality box
$20 uber cheap but still decent quality box

 

You might want to check at your local car audio place since shipping will crap on the total price... I may be wrong though.

BTW, any chance you want to sell those nice ass speakers? 😀 😉

you should honestly make your own.. use like some huge-ass 1" MDF or something.. put like 300 screws in it.. you can make the ideal box!

For sound quality, bigger is always better.
In fact, why use a box at all?

 

Is it easy to make your own? I have two 10's in the back with seperate boxes, and i thought about making one for both, two compartments.

Im sure i can scrounge up the tools and the materials to make my own, but i dont wanna spend the time doing it. I built a coffin for my dj setup a few years back, carpeted it and everything, so i know i can do a speakerbox..its just that if i could get a decent box for a decent price id rather just get it. Any comments on qlogic?

I made a couple speaker boxes a while back and it wasn't hard, but they weren't perfect either.

Decided im just gonna get an OBCON box from sounddomain. Yeh its kinda pricey but i got a tax refund in the mail today and ive sold (and still need to sell) a lot of stuff on ebay that could easily make up for that cash. Man im such a lazyass...
