Car audio recommendations

i am not looking huge pumping bass like the guys in the 7-11 parking lot.

i need a 10" (or smaller) sub to give my stereo some deeper sound, because the speakers in my car just do not provide enough bass.
the music i listen to is rock so i need a sub that is really tight, and provides quick popping bass, not like some other subs that are very sloppy.
i have been told JL's are a very good rock sub.
any ideas?

not enough info man....what kinda car...where u gonna put it...what kind box is it gonna be in...lots and lots of factors...
anywho...if u put it in the trunk...make SURE u dynamat it (yah it wont be cheap) and tighten any loose bolts (especially the license plate...rubber grommets work great) nothing is worse than booming some nice bass but ur tank and tag are rattling so loud you look stupid...

if its an SUV...just tighten loose bolts and do same for license plate...take up as little room as possible as the SUV acts like a giant box...always face subs to the rear of the vehicle

it its a truck get a nice all in one tube sub...they are small and fit in most trucks and produce lots of good sound...unfortunately there is so much ****** that can rattle in there that not a whole lot can be done without tons of $$

if u wana save space...get a single 10"-12" sub that is dual-coil...or consider getting a kicker ...any of these will rock whatev u drive...

one neat thing i've seen before was this dood that wired his radar detector into his head unit...anytime it went off it would cut the bass volume down 70% and the main volume in half...pretty badass 🙂 but i'm sure it costed bigbucks
