Alright, my buddy hooked me up with a brand new set of MTX Thunder 5000 Subs w/box ready to roll for $100, now all I need is an amp.
I am totally car audio illiterate but my friend who's helping me is quite knowledgeable, infact he's going to wire it all up for me. The subs are 500 watts a piece, totalling 1000watts, dual channel 4 ohms and i'd like an amp that can back that up without r@ping me on price. He said he can hook me up with some golden amp or whatever for $120, although i'm not sure on the specs nor the brand or anything for that matter.
I've checked cardomain and crutchfield a little on amps but that talk is all foreign to me. Basically my question is, what is the best bang/buck amplifier that can get me the most potential out of my subs?
