Car Audio Question

My friend has a G35c and he wants to put a sub in there without getting rid of the stock radio..

what's the best way to do this, since there is no "sub out" on the back of the stock radio?

Not noticeably.

You definitely need an external amp to power the sub, though.

Basically you need:

1. Amp wiring kit - just like any other situation. Run power and ground.
2. Amp - Choose one with speaker level inputs and auto-sensing turn on-- this removes the need for a remote turn-on lead, which most stock stereos don't have.
Tap the rear speakers using Radio Shack low-voltage tap-ins, or splice the wire.
3. Subs - Your choice

I just installed an infinity basslink, (Self-contained 200W amplified subwoofer, 10") into a friend's 03 Accord with no other stereo upgrades. Very simple.

I have an Infinity BassLink in my bravada... I am very happy with how it sounds.

I put a BassLink in my fiancee's car. She loves it.
Very simple way to upgrade the bass, no headaches.
