Car Audio question, need some help!

I just purchased a CD player from a guy off Ebay. I get the player today, install it correctly, all wires are fastened nice and secure, I power it up. To my dismay, it gets power, but nothing is coming out of the speakers! I turn up the volume to max blast and still nothing. I've installed plenty of car stereos through the years and havent seen anything like this. Could it possible be the 10V fuse on the back of the player? or would the player not even power up if that was the case. Any ideas please help! I've already asked the man for my money back. It may have been a shipping problem.

Why don't you take the player out of the car to check the fuse?

But more than likely it's not the fuse. Are the speakers powered by the amp, or directly through the head unit?
