Car audio people, gimme some advice on this system...

I drive a 1999 Galant with the stock Infinity system... I'm getting either a 12" Infinity Perfect or my other option is to get a 10" JL w6v2... How do these w6v2's compare to the W7's? I haven't had the chance to hear one yet... I'm not looking for ground shaking bass. My car already sounds extremely good with just the stock Infinity system. I just want some good, clean sounding bass. I listen to mostly rap and a lot of rock too... I will give both of these subs how ever much power they need but right now I'm trying to decide which would be best for me... You guys have any thoughts?

10" = Tighter bass
12" = Boomier bass

Both are good subs. The 12" would be better for rap and the 10" better for rock but you can't go wrong with either.

Anyone else have anythoughts? Also, has anyone seen the new Panasonic MXE CQ-HX2083U ghost face cd player that just came out? It looks pretty sweet in the pictures...

why dont you just by a dvd player for your car.. would look sweet.. playing dvds and cds etc etc.. im about to put a screen and everything in my durango..

What are you goign to power them with? The W7 is an amazing sub and significantly better than the W6v2 ... even though the W6v2 is supposed to be a baby W7. Why are you limited to both of those subs? I am not a fan of either of them to be honest.

The w7's are quite a bit different sub then the w6's. I don't think you would have any complaints with a w6, they sound good/get loud enough off lower amounts of power. Perfects are also very nice subs. Tough decision

I'm not limited to either of these subs... those are just what I was thinking of. One of my friends has a 10 w7 he might sell me if I give him the right price... of my car audio place has the 10 w6v2's on sale for like $275-$300 I think.
