Car Audio: Low Cost Sub & Amp?

I have factory speakers ('91 Lumina) and a Sony CD player. I want to add some bass to my car, but not a ton. I listen to punk music mostly so I do not need a 15" sub to pound out rap or something like that. I am looking for an 8" or 10" sub, (8" if you think it will suffice) and an amp.
A very important factor in my decision is MONEY. I don't need to spend a ton of money on a sub and amp, and I'm not looking for real high quality equipment. Just average stuff that will give my car a little boost in bass. If I could get this done for under $250 that would be excellent...The cheaper the better for me (not that I want garbage components).

I thought about that and I would definately buy a used subwoofer and/or amp if I knew which models were decent.

if your not looking for tons of base grab an infinity Bass Link off ebay my bro has this is his car and it sounds very good.
