Just get the adapter plate, there aren't any good decks out there that are mp3/cd in 1.5 din.

Yes, they do.

The main drawback to 1.5DIN stereos is that very few (if any) are available with detachable faces. So you have this flashy "fish-finder" deck, and you can't remove the face! Basically, the 1.5DIN decks are open season for thieves.

those HU are 1.5 DIN, but none are mp3 players. I think it looks better when the stereo fits perfectly rather than an adapter. I had a DEH P47DH in my old car, it was 1.5 and had a detachable face. In fact, the faceplate was exactly the size of a 1 DIN, the cd feeder took the other half.
