Are there any places that offer free installation of car audio equitment for free with purchase? I'm looking to get a CD changer.

If not, are recievers difficult to install yourself?

Anyways, I've installed two decks with barely any experience. I bet if you look on the Internet, you'll see step-by-step instructions on how to do things like open up your car console and stuff. If your car has a standard DIN and not one of those integrated control consoles, it should be much easier.
 
If you go to a small shop, you can usually bargain them to give you a free intsall..

BB usually offers free installation... i always see it in their weekly ads
 
they will offer "free" install but then charge you up the ass for parts such as wiring and tape and grommets and screws and stuff you probobly will never see or imagine went into installing a deck. Pretty much all you will get is the labor free with a 50% markup on parts.
Decks are probobly the easiest to install once you get the wiring configuration down. All that takes though is understaning of the manual and know how of wiring. I'm able to remove a stereo in under a minute and hook one up in under 5 nowadays (so long as only dealing wiht power/ground/signal/rca since most go to amps nowadays 😛)
CD Changers are pretty easy too...depends if its direct to deck or modulated though but both require you to jsut find a 12V line to tap into...connect it up...find a ground and then connect either to deck or atenna and bam ur done
