Car Audio: How good are these speakers?

These Kenwood KFC-C6889ie's would hypothetically be placed in my 2000 Ford Taurus. Two of these in the front, two in the rear, and the two stock tweeters in the front door corners. They would be powered off my Pioneer DEH-P8500MP head unit (50W X 4 peak, 22W x 4 RMS).

I can get them for about $110 shipped for four on ebay. Also is there a (big) difference between 2-way and 3-way speakers? The 3-ways are just a little more expensive than the 2-ways so I figured why not.

What do you guys think of these speakers?

Thanks

IMO, Kenwood is not one of the better speakers. Check out www.sounddomain.com for ratings of the speakers and stuff like that. There is a difference between 2-way and 3-way speakers. Two way speakers have a woofer and a tweeter, while 3-way speakers have high, mid, and low. Check out sound domain and they'll hook you up. I highly recommend Infinity, but I'm biased😉

Yeah I'd definetely like to get infinity kappas, but they cost quite a bit more money. Plus I'm only powering them with my headunit so I wouldnt get their full capability anyway.

For direct replacement speakers that are not expensive....go with Pioneer. Stick with 2-way speakers as anything more is just marketing.....there is no use for a 3-way coaxial. I highly recommend Infinity reference if the speakers are being powered by your headunit....Also take a look at MB Quart if you like more detailed highs.

Thanks for the recommendation. After some research, I bought 2 boxes (4 speakers) of the Infinity Reference 6802cf 6X8/5X7 speakers. $125 shipped to my door for all of them, I can't wait to pop them in!

I know nothing really about car audio but the first thing I saw was KFC and I could really go for some chicken right now.

Sorry for crapping in your thread.
