Car Audio help needed

It used to happen very rarely at first, but the headunit would power itself off. I moved the face plate around just a bit and it was fine again. Later on it started happening more frequently, and I had to move it around more. Now it won't power on at all until I apply pressure on the face plate and sometimes that doesn't even work.

When I took off the face plate, I noticed the contacts on the head unit "brain" side seemed to be scratched up pretty badly. I tried wiping it down with rubbing alcohol but that didn't help. Does anyone have any ideas?

The only ones I can think of:
1. Find out if I can order the little circuit board with the contacts on it.
2. Change the face plate or try the face plate on another head unit brain
3. Change the brain? or get a new head unit.
