Car audio gurus

So far I've had no luck on this... I'm going to be installing speaker wiring where there currently exists none in a vehicle, and I figured since I'm starting with nothing, I might as well adhere to the standard purple/green/etc for the four speakers, but I can't figure out where to buy this stuff. Is it possible to do so, or am I just going to have to run generic wire and tag it?

i've never seen a place to buy it colored like that, but i haven't really ever looked for it either. i would just tag it with masking tape or labels on the ends.

When I worked at Audio Express (auto stereo store) we had spools of it. Try calling around local Audio stores, and if you have no luck there, try OSH. Worst case scenario you could probably get some colored heatshrink from Rat Shack.

I think your going a little nuts wanting to keep the colors in order, just run the wires and tag the ends with some paper tape as to where they went, cheap, it gets done fast, no fuss no muss. Usually when you buy a car and stick in a after market radio the stock car speaker, power, ground colors are never the same as whats on the radio any way, so you would be the first person in the world to ever do this on his own or OEM.

No need to be concern about the color. Just make sure you get monster cables. You'll want atleast 12 gauge wires. They are only about $5 a foot.
