As you did not spend much on your subs I would not spend a whole lot on your Amp. You look to want punding bass, not clean sound. So going with a cheap amp is fine. Fosgate & JL are overpriced, you pay for the marketing not the substance. They are good quality, just too expensive for what you get.

please dont hate on jl/rockford when you list a sony amp. if he wants svitty bass then hook him up with a svitty amp, but dont knock on good brands.
If that's a continuous figure, then you would be limiting your subs' max output (during transients) by getting an amp limited to 300W (say, clipping occurs at that output or something). All drivers can handle power levels greater than the continuous input power for a short period of time.Originally posted by: Fmr12B
