Car Audio expertise wanted

I have a 2009 Subaru Forrester and the speakers basically suck. Probably woest stock speakers ive heard. I dont know much about car audio. Total noob really. From what ive gathered they are 4 6.5" speakers. 2 in front and 2 in rear. I could like to get a HU, Amp, and 4 speakers. But no sub. At least not now, and probably never. Id like to be able to either add music to the HU or control an mp3 player or ipod. Bluetooth would also be cool but might be outside my budget of $500. I was looking at the bestbuy website but most likely would buy online to save money.

Are these items any good and would you recommend something better for the money. Budget $500 for all. Amazon has all this for about $443 + Shipping.

Thanks for reading and helping.

Heh I have an 04 Forester and it's by far the best stock audio system I've ever owned in anything - maybe I have a different package.

Don't underestimate a sub - it doesn't have to sound bass-heavy and boomy, but it will add a lot of depth to your music that you may otherwise miss. Keep in mind that, with a component setup, you will have to find a location to mount the crossovers and tweeters.
