I saw this at Crutchfield and I was thinking of getting one to hook my creative labs player to my head unit. Will a player with just a headphone jack work or would it be for a player with a line out?

headphones jack will work - just don't crank the volume up to 100% on the player.

If you want less trouble, just get an FM transmitter. Sound quality isn't as good, but I doubt you will notice much with a factory receiver.

Most of the reports I read on FM transmitters say they suck. As long as the headphone jack is cool, it's worth a try.

Is there one for a nissan? I am using a tape adapter now for my mp3 player and quality SUCKS BALLS. It's not dirty, but just lacks depth and especially bass. I've heard FM transmitters can be problematic.

Saulbadguy is right. If you've got factory speakers, the difference isn't worth the hassle and the price of what you're looking at.

DO NOT GET AN FM TRANSMITTER. I bought one last week and it BLEW FAT CRAP! Sounded worse than AM radio. I took it back real quick. I ended up getting the tape adapter and it works great for my MP3 player. The one I bought actually sounds really good, I know someone said the bass was weak while using theirs, but while using mine I sometimes have to turn the bass down. The one you're looking at looks like a good option, and it will probably sound better than a tape adapter because it's a direct connection to the head, but it's also a lot of trouble. I say just get a tape adapter if you can, if you don't have a tape deck then install the one you're looking at.

FM Transmitters suck - especially if you live in a busy city with lots of stations. Interference anyone?

No kidding. It's hard to believe that things like line-in and MP3 are not standard already. What the hell takes the OEM makers so long.

Mine's the same way, I think it's a Sony adapter? Bass is always really strong when I play MP3s through my tape adapter for some reason.
