I was recently given this amp.

I suppose all I need now is a wiring kit, a sub, and a box.

Suggestions for all 3? Will any wiring kit suffice?

I have a Toyota Camry. So it looks like I have 400W bridged on this amp. What exactly does this mean? I want accurate bass. So should I go for 1 or 2 10"s?

Another question: I have RCA preouts on the back of my headunit. If I have amplified subs, do I need to amplify my normal speakers too? Or can I just let the head unit amplify the speakers like they are now?

Get a 8 gauge wiring kit off ebay. Prolly get a 10 inch sub, if ur getting 400w then go for a kappa perfect, great for sq and they run 350rms, 400 shouldnt be too bad...

Basicly that rca output on ur deck will connect to the lowlevel input on your subwoofer's amplifier.

You'll have 200Wx1 @ 4ohms on this amp. Get an 8 guage wiring kit from knukonceptz, they're a good company. Or you could get a kit from Walmart. Sub at that power, I recommend an Adire Shiva linky. I hooked one up a couple weeks ago running off a Rockford 250.2, getting roughly the same power, sounded great. Box I'd recommend sealed, size 1.5cu - 2.0cu (1.5 if you like tight hard-hitting bass, 2.0 if you like more extension and rumble). My friend went with 2.0cu, amazing the bass it was putting out. Box it'd be better if you try to get one custom built, if you can't you can order one from ampmanaudio, they make a 1.75cu specifically for Shiva, I think price is about $130 shipped, be cheaper and better built if you could get it local though.

Get a pair of JBL GT subwoofers, they're extremely clean, like $50 a pop cuz they're getting old, and have a high sensitivity so this amp will drive them very loudly and cleanly. BTW your amp is 200wrms, don't make judgements on the 400w because you'll probably end up blowing the subs if you do so.

Virtuamike is awesome! I was gonna go with the Shiva, but I ended up buying a GHETTO setup... 2 10" Competition Kickers in a box for $50 (everything!) locally. Virtuamike is going to help me hook it up in exchange for a case of beer.
