Car Amp wattage question

I was wonering what a good watt rating was for a car amp.. I'm getting a 4 ch. amp to power my infinity ref. 6000cs component speakers and rockford fosgate 6x9s (the sub has it's own amp) but have no idea what to get.. It'll be going into a hyundai elantra (2002 sedan) ... I don't want to spend more than $150 on the amp itself.. Thanks for any suggestions..

P.S. I'll be buying the amp from either best buy, circ. city or etronics.com

The 6000CS can handle 90W RMS constantly, and it has a sensitivity of 92dB. You won't need a lot with such a high sensitivity. I don't know about the RFs.

From the CC website:

Sony Xplod? 4-Channel Amplifier
Brand/Model: SON XM460GTX
Car Amplifiers $169.99

Alpine 4/3/2 Channel V-Power Series Amplifier
Brand/Model: APN MRPF240
Car Amplifiers $169.99

Fwiw: I think you should get as nice of an amp as you can afford, then you can keep it if you get more power hungry speakers in the future (I used to like infinity for example heh....). Rockford Fosgates are known for usually putting out more than they're rated for. I'll never buy sony again either. 😀

Yeah, Sony's car audio has really gone hill over the years.
