My mom is having issues with her car alarm. It goes off just randomly (as in there's nothing to set it off). Its not set too sensitive so that shouldn't be the problem. Its the factory alarm system. We've tried resyncing the key fob and other things, but it still happens. Also, it will go weeks without going off and then will do it several days in a row, which is what is so strange about it.
I apologize for not having better information, thats just what I've been able to gather. If you need more information and I can try to add it myself or find out from her. We wonder if it might be a sensor or something to do with the electrical system. We've considered taking it to the local Pontiac dealer, but in my opinion had a rather high minimum fee for just looking at it and then setting up an appointment time is a pain as well.
