No, I won't pray for you, and you don't pray either.

If that guy tries that, you get him.

Hire Shalom Leibowitznersteinbergstone. get him! i wouldn't take an increase in my premium, or the notation on my driving record (and there will be one) sitting down.

I edited my post. I didn't make it clear that he was behind me in the one way street.
I executed my turn, after signalling and i was totally in the travel lane of the street i entered when he hit me and i begun my spin.

That GS is a rwd is it not?, soo...probably equals lots to fix it. Door realignment, rear left lower quarter panel, new rear left suspesion arms, possibly new axle, paint etc. I think it's fixable.

Looks like we got a he said, she said.

Unless the police report cites him for speeding (which I highly doubt), your points of impact is not in your favor (nor in his).
Its not really a double left turn case, because hes not claiming he made a left turn....hes actually claiming lane intrusion on your part.

(if you in cases like this, even if was his fault...because of what he said to the police officer, they are probably going to settle 50-50).

Yep it is rwd.
I read stories that some GS owners that have had accidents have had problems with the VSC (vehicle skid control)/traction control, afterwards..
Man, the next couple of months are gonna suck for me !

Geez what do you have, Bend me over insurance company?
Most insurance companies will just jack your premiums. So long as you have a reasonably clean record and continue to do so they won't drop you or dump you in the risk pool.

I wouldn't worry about them dropping you, unless you've had a history of at-fault accidents. I'd probably just let your own policy handle it (hopefully you have collision), let your own subrogation department worry about any payments made out and your deductible. From your description, intially they'll put you at non-fault anyway....and the insurance companies will duke it out over the %s.

One thing you should be wary of.

Generally speaking, insurance carriers don't insure a vehicle for commercial use unless you specifically purchase the coverage. (usually expensive)

Pizza delivery is considered commercial use.

Generally speaking, pizza delivery people don't buy this coverage. (because it's usually expensive)

See where I'm going with this? And I say generally but really, I don't know of any insurance carriers that will cover a vehicle for commercial use unless you pay for the additional coverage. Anyway, since an insurance carrier will try to get out of the claim if at all legally possible, you may have a problem here.

Either way, at least you have your own insurance if necessary. :)

The accident happened on a sunday and i called my insurance company and spoke to a representative who suggested i file a claim with the other party's insurance company. I also called the lady who handled my insurance previously for advice, and she thought it was ok to do that. so i did it.. Do you think i made a mistake in filing a claim with his carrier???

If they refuse it, my insurance will go through subrogation and try to get moneys, right?

Cliffnotes: Filing a claim with his carrier won't screw me in any way right?

Pardon my ignorance, but i haven't had an accident for a long time!

No problem in filing third party. Hey if their policyholder admits fault (despite what was mentioned to the police), they'll accept liab anyways. Sometimes, if you don't have rental on your policy but need one, you can submit your bills to the adverse carrier for reimbursement (or partial...depending on their liab decision).
Yes subrogration will try and get any payments that were made out by your insurance comapny (including your ded.) back from the AC.

Damn sorry to see that happen to your car.

Too bad you are in RI, I know a good body shop in NJ that my friend, a Lexus mechanic, uses for all their cars. I went there once and the place is top notch and unbelievably professional. In fact, they only do high-end cars and I saw a ton of them there like 911, BMW Ms, Range Rovers.

Good luck.
