Capturing video from a DV Cam to DVD.

I'm trying to use Microsoft's Movie Maker 2.0 in Windows XP to capture this wedding video for my family. I've got it captured. A massive 10 gb AVI file. I'd like to convert it to mpeg and put it on a 120min DVD with my DVD burner. I'm lost as to how to do it now that I've got the big uncut file. What do I encode with? and how?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You'll need to find an MPEG encoder, most of which cost money because the MPEG license needed isn't free.

Anyway poke round doom9.net, you should be able to find something there.
