Capturing VHS to PC

Hello folks,

If I want to capture my VHS tapes to my PC so I can burn them to CD|DVD, is the only thing I need is a video TV tuner card?

Like this:

Can I record directly from a VCR to my PC or do I need a TV in the mix as well? I do have a high end video card - BFG 6600 AGP with the NVIDIA chip but the card will not do capture..... i think?

But on to your question. It seems as if that card does do capturing. After that, you will need a program to convert from whatever format it captures in to a burnable SVCD or DVD format. I suggest looking at
