capturing screenshot from video file

Hey all,
Im trying to capture a screenshot of a video that I need to put upload for work. I wanted a thumbnail of whats in the video, but the print screen function wont work for this. Does anyone know how to do this?

Play the video in PowerDVD and use the screen capture option.

if you are getting a black screen in windows media player when you use the print screen function, just turn off hardware acceleration in the settings

then the print screen function shoudl work
