Capture cards: Anyone sell OEM cards without s/w?

NLE and mini-DV capture cards--especially realtime cards--cost so much, I was wondering if any of them were sold without software, thus hopefully bringing the price down..
I'm talking about pro and semi-pro/pro-sumer capture cards.
