Capture Card for DVR / Digital Cable Box?

Hey all. I recently added DVR to my Time Warner digital cable service and I'm looking for a way to rip stuff off the dct6412 III that they gave me. Insofar as I understand it, I cannot just copy the contents of the hard drive, as much as I'd like to, though I've figured out how to copy live basic ONLY cable channels through the firewire port thanks to hacked drivers. So what I need is a reliable and tested capture card that will work well for my current situation. It can be cable in only, as I'll splice the feed out from the set top box between my tv and the card, but I'd also find it a bonus if it had composite in.

I'm not sure if I'll need a HD card or what, but if anyone has this particular model (I hear it is becoming a popular provider choice) and some experience or advice, I would really appreciate it. I'm trying to find something on a bit of a tight budget, but a lot of the cards I'm seeing don't seem that reliable.

Thanks for the help!
