Capture Camera Clip System - camera holster

Been doing some research and watching reviews/comparisons for the different holster systems. The front runner was the Spider - Black Widow, but this looks super interesting for the versatility. I might have to sign up as a backer. I'm just not sure I want to wait all the way until July to receive a unit. :hmm:

I also read that the spider doesn't work so well with the K7's battery grip because of the offset screw position....but then I'm in no position to pay ~$220 for a grip right now anyway.

Just came across this thing and it looks pretty darn neat.

He's still in the early phases of getting his startup going, but he seems to have a pretty neat invention on his hands. I've often found it annoying to walk around with my camera hanging from my neck, this camera "holster" could be just the ticket.

It does look neat, especially for a more compact DSLR (like D3100) without a flash. I don't think I'd actually use one. I really like the S95 as my take everywhere camera with it's horizontal rigid holster. I don't think I'd ever use a DSLR in that exact capacity. The Blackrapid strap (or the excellent knock-off quickstrap) works really well and is without some of the limitations I think that one would have.

Well, I'm in for one. Aside from my dslr, since you use it across any belt or strap, I can totally see me mounting this on the top of a shoulder strap on my skiing backpack for some fun videos with a p&s, for example.

woah! I saw this a little while ago and he was below the $10K goal. And now he's at $150K+?! Power of the internet is amazing once something goes viral!!

I'm thinking about picking one up for when I go hiking. I hate neckstraps

I modified my backing for two, based on the reviews from the people receiving early units.

Pretty incredible how well it took off. They're currently in 4th place for all-time backing, according to the most recent project update, at $291K with ~4,400 backers.

Did anyone end up getting one? My friend has the spider which he uses on my 7D with the 100-400 / 17 - 35.

I really want one for the 5DII+50mm that I normally use. I hate the spider since it has it's own belt.

Any recommendations?

I've had my two for awhile now. Works well on a (sturdy) belt, though I don't have any enormous lenses. It really shines on something like a backpack.

First time I have seen Kickstarter in this type of endeavor. Awesome! I salute them. My son and daughter-in-law (professional musicians) used Kickstarter to get their new CD off the ground. It works!

Just used my K7 at Abasin and Loveland pass today, with the clip on a backpack strap. First time using it skiing, so I was a bit nervous about weight and jostling, but it worked really well. Chest strap for cinching definitely required. K7's sealing certainly comes in handy. I'm very pleased.

Alfa, I see facebook posts from peak design from time to time with sale notices, so check that out. Pretty sure they're sold at BH as well.
