captive portal devices?

anyone have any recommendations for either a self-made or a thirid-party captive portal/access point that they use or have used?

i want something that has the option to do billing for usage.

nocat.net, a package called "NoCatAuth". By far the largest captive portal installation out there, and it works on any *nix clone.
